Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026. We believe privacy is a right, not a checkbox. This policy is written to be actually readable.

The short version: We collect only what we need to run our business and serve you well. We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial use. Your data is yours — always.

1. Overview

OTH3L (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the strict measures we take to keep it safe.

This policy applies to all information collected through our website (oth3l.com), our contact forms, email communications, and any other service or interaction you have with us.

By using our website or submitting your information to us, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services and contact us to have your data removed.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only when it is directly provided to us and necessary for us to provide our services. The types of information we may collect include:

Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact details: Your name and email address when you submit our contact form or reach out by email.
  • Business information: Your company name, website URL, and the details you choose to share about your business goals.
  • Communication content: Messages, questions, and other content you send to us directly.
  • Calendar bookings: If you book a call via Calendly, that platform collects scheduling information under its own privacy policy.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit — used solely for security and performance monitoring.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymised data about how visitors use our website, used to improve our content and user experience.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial details, government IDs, health data, or any other sensitive categories.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you have requested
  • Better understand your business goals so we can serve you more effectively
  • Communicate with you regarding proposals, deliverables, and ongoing work
  • Improve our website, services, and client experience
  • Comply with legal obligations when required by applicable law

We do not use your information for any automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is reasonably necessary to serve you.

4. Data We Never Share

This is non-negotiable and fundamental to how we operate:

  • We never sell your data. Full stop. We are not in the data brokerage business and never will be.
  • We never rent your data to advertisers, marketers, or any third parties.
  • We never share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial or marketing purposes.
  • We never use your business information to benefit our other clients or disclose it in any form that could harm you competitively.

The only circumstances in which we may disclose your information are:

  • With your explicit consent — for example, if you agree to be featured as a case study or testimonial (which is entirely your choice).
  • To trusted service providers who operate strictly under our direction and under confidentiality agreements — for example, our form processing provider (Web3Forms), used solely to deliver form submissions to our inbox.
  • When legally required — if compelled by a valid court order or government authority. We will notify you whenever legally permissible before complying.

5. Data Storage & Security

We take data security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • All data transmitted through our website is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Access to your information is restricted to team members who need it to perform their work
  • We regularly review and update our security practices
  • We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy

We retain contact information for up to 3 years from your last interaction with us, after which it is securely deleted. If you become a client, we retain project-related information for up to 5 years for legal and accounting purposes, after which it is securely archived or deleted.

While we implement strong safeguards, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords if you use any account-based service.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for functionality and basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or allow advertising networks to place cookies on our site.

  • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., security, session management). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Anonymised data about website usage to help us improve our content. No personally identifiable information is stored.

You can disable analytics cookies at any time by adjusting your browser settings. This will not affect your ability to use our website.

We do not engage in cross-site tracking, behavioural advertising, or any form of surveillance-based marketing.

8. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate our business. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Web3Forms (form processing) — Receives form submission data solely to deliver it to our inbox. Does not use your data for any other purpose.
  • Calendly (scheduling) — Used for booking discovery calls. Governed by Calendly's own privacy policy.
  • Vercel (hosting) — Our website is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Standard server logs are retained per Vercel's data policy.
